After almost 20 years in the cleaning and restoration industry I can attest to the fact that some of the everyday cleaning solutions we use can be hazardous to our health. I can remember years ago using cleaning solutions all day that would make me feel crappy, crack my skin and make me cough. Many years ago I switched over to more eco-friendly cleaners for my health and that of my employees and customers. But what about our homes on a day-to-day basis? Every day we spray cleaning solutions around our house - near our kids and pets - washing them down the drain and into septic tanks or the sewer system. We breathe them in - touch them and sometimes our kids or pets accidentally ingest them!

Every 13 seconds a family calls a poison control center regarding an exposure to poison at home.

This even goes for our personal care products like soap, shampoo, creams, lotions and cosmetics. Even our laundry detergent is full of nasty chemicals that can harm us. You - like myself - probably assumed that if a product was on the market it was safe. Many of these chemicals require special handling with gloves, protective clothing and respirators when manufactured! Now - these may take a while to build up in our bodies- but I no longer take the chance with myself or my family. I have removed as many of these substances as humanly possible from my home- and you should too! I know lots of people that have a high sensitivity to chemicals (that's why they use me to clean for them).

What can you do? You must begin by removing as many of these chemicals as soon as possible. Now I know what you are thinking - "I have checked into eco-friendly products at the health food store but they cost a fortune!"  I knew there had to be an alternative for my customers to use every day. This turned out be a difficult task! Many of the environmentally safe products simply did not work. Until I found Green Clean Book.
